Supporting the Rhema Partnership is not just about feeding people or giving them money, it's about caring for their entire well being, and giving them a chance in life, options, hope! Our churches act as a base from where we are able to reach out into communities and help people improve their chances in life.

The literacy programme is a 1 year programme which runs from 5.30 - 6.30pm week day evenings at the church in Uppukottai. Topics covered include Literacy Empowerment, Social Awareness and Health Awareness and around 150 people are enrolled on the course. On the 27th of January, Rev. Ruban decided to run a medical camp as part of Health Awareness Module.

Many who attended live not knowing they have Diabetes. Over the course of the day, over 180 people were cared for and / or diagnosed through the medical care that our team from the medical center were able to provide.

On the 15th of February, a team from the USA led by our USA lead - Bob Glendening - will be heading back to Uppukotti. There they will support our medical team with the hope of reaching even more people in Uppokotti and the surrounding villages.
