Leaving a legacy gift is easier than many people expect, and your solicitor or will-writer can guide you through the process as part of writing or updating your will.

  • Speak to a solicitor or will-writer. They will help make sure your wishes are recorded clearly and that your gift, alongside everything else you wish to leave to loved ones, is properly reflected in your will.

  • Choose the type of gift that suits you. A residuary gift leaves a share or percentage of your estate, once other gifts and expenses have been accounted for.
