Children Programme

Hope is .... a new bike!

Huge thanks to our amazing supporter who has bought new bikes for Godwin, Daniel and Augustine who all live in the Rhema Gardens. They are thrilled. A great way to get to school, play with your friends and have fun, previously they were sharing one bike with Godwin’s sisters.

Godwin loves cycling, like many 7 year old boys, and during lockdown cycled 26 times around the Gardens to raise money for Hope Gardens what a superstar!

We did it!

You are amazing! in one week we smashed our target and raised £10,710 to support our medical centre and our after school clubs

As a result of the pandemic we need to extend our opening hours of our medical centre and subsidise the increased amount of patients. This boost of £5,355 will enable our medical centre to meet this increase in demand and give access to healthcare to those most in need.

Our afterschool clubs are shifting to bring educational support to those children who have huge gaps in their education due to the disruption to their schooling since March. Many children are in need of specialist learning support which Hope Gardens can now provide thanks to your generosity.

Covid-19 update from Archbishop Samuel

Thank you for your concern over the communities that we are serving in Southern India. The Coronovirus continues to spread throughout the regions of India and is prevalent in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the two states that we as a charity work in.

Since the outbreak, our faithful Indian Partners have been doing what they do best  - supporting those who are in need, but as the situation escalates Archbishop Samuel has been in touch with an update on the situation.

"Our Central and State Governments have instructed all the educational institutions, hostels, malls etc to shut down until  in order to control the spreading of Corona Virus. Due to these measures all students and staff in our trusts will now be on holiday. As a charity we have advised all who work with us and all who we serve to take practical preventative measure to ensure they safeguard themselves from this virus.   On top of it we have been praying to our Almighty God to eradicate this killing virus."

We will continue to update you on the situation. We appreciate your prayers for the vulnerable families and children that we serve who are now without medical, educational, financial or emotional support.

Running for Hope!

What a fantastic day for a great cause!

Team Hope Gardens came together at Tower Bridge to run the vitality big half marathon around London on the first day of spring. An incredible achievement with personal best times broken by Aimee and Polly running her first ever 1/2 marathon - amazing! We are so grateful for this fantastic team of strong women who are up for a challenge! As a result of all their hard work training in the cold winter months £1440 has been raised so far for our Hope for Children and the new sensory facility.

New After school programme opens

We are delighted that our first after school programme has opened in Kerala!

We are so grateful for the foresight of Robin and his team for seeing the need and starting a new programme for the local children. The children will be tutored, play games, make new friends and be fed after school each day. This village is up in the Keralan hills surrounded by tea and spice plantations.

As is the case with many of these villages the parents work late into the night on the plantations and the children are often left to fend for themselves.

Isn’t it fantastic that the children now have such a fun and safe place to be!

Huge thanks to all of our Hope for Children supporters - you are transforming lives.
