"Giving Tuesday!”

27TH NOVEMBER - 3RD DECEMBER

Hope Gardens Match Funding Appeal

CAN YOU HELP US RAISE $50,000 TO DELIVER HOPE THIS CHRISTMAS AND FOR MANY CHRISTMASES TO COME?

give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; give a man a field and you feed him for a lifetime and give him a job

Breakfast, lunch and supper - it’s amazing how much rice we get through - 12,375kg per annum to be precise! Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to grow our own…

For each $1 that you donate we will get $1 in matched funds.

Through a generous offer of funds, we are able to match any funds that are donated between the 27th of November and the 3rd of December towards the purchase of this field.

The Garden currently uses around 12,375kg of rice every year at a cost of Rs5,94,000. The purchase of the land means that 16,000kgs of rice can be grown and the surplus used at our local feeding programs.

This means a huge reduction in our overhead costs, jobs for local people and more funds to care for more children!

Well done Debi!

On the 1st of October, Debi Armitage, our Child Sponsorship coordinator and St. Andrews Dibden church member, took to the streets in Jersey to run a marathon with an amazing pace of 5.31min/km. Debi writes:

♥ THANK YOU ♥  also for all those who personally encouraged and supported me leading up to and on the 1st October when I took on the challenge of completing the Jersey marathon to raise awareness and funds for a maternity unit at Hope Gardens in Tamil Nadu, South India.

There will be a more detailed thank you in the St. Andrew's newsletter in the weeks ahead - do keep an eye out for it, it's a wonderful read about God's provision for Debi and sustaining her throughout the run.

We are so grateful to Debi as she raised an incredible £1,110 for the maternity ward which is a wonderful life giving and life saving facility which we hope to start building in 2018. If you'd like to know more about our plans for the facility, please click the link here:

Well done Debi and a big thank you from Hope Gardens! xx
