The gates of The Rhema Gardens are temporarily shut as we close our medical centre, school, college and hostel.
Food parcels
We have had an incredible response to our #hopegardensindia appeal, 450 food parcels have now been delivered. Families units are often complicated with often 3 generations and extended family living under one roof. 450 parcels have fed at least 2500 people.
Loneliness, anxiety and stress are all too common an issue faced by many globally and your relief efforts could not have been more timely. We are deeply encouraged by the positive impact that this act of compassion, providing such practical help, can have to uplift spirits at such a crucial time.
With no income families continue to struggle meaning that starvation is a very real prospect.
As lockdown continues across the districts our appeal funds will continue to be used for food parcels and supporting families most in need.
2.6 Challenge - well done Godwin!
On 26th April, the day the London Marathon was due to run, we asked our supporters to take on a 2.6 challenge of their own.
Godwin who lives in the Gardens with his family joined in this too! He cycled 26 times around the beautiful grounds of Hope Gardens on his sister’s bike! We are so proud of him and thrilled that he inspired so many others to do a challenge too. What an amazing little boy Godwin is. He did 26 laps in 30 minutes!
Watch Godwin’s challenge here!
To support Godwin many of you took to the challenge as well. A huge shout out to so many grown ups and children and dogs who did their 2.6 challenges too and donated! In a day we raised £661 which is fantastic! Thank you Amelia, Alice, Nate, Charlotte, Xander, Edmund, David, Albie, The Flemmings, Karen and Toby the dog for your fundraising!
It's 2.6 challenge day
Go Godwin!
Godwin is being a superstar and inspiring us all by cycling 26 times around Hope Gardens. He is only 7! Please join him today and think of a challenge with 2.6 or 26 in it and help us fundraise for the families most in need. For more information and to donate click here
